Turkish lentils

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 head onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 pinch salt
- NaN cloves garlic
- 250 g red lentils
- 4 glasses water
- 1 tbsp Turkish Spice Mix
- 1 lemon
- 1 parsley
- 1 mint.
Cookware
Directions
- Heat olive oil on medium heat and put in it finely chopped onion, carrot and a pinch of salt. Cook for ~{5-6%minutes} and add chopped garlic.
- Wash and add the red lentils and water. Cook until the lentils are fully cooked - about ~{10-12%minutes} after boiling.
- Add Turkish Spice Mix and cook for 5 minutes.
- Mash and salt to taste. If necessary, add warm water and bring to a boil again.
- Serve with lemon and finely chopped parsley and mint.
